She has long since burned out, not over time as it should have been. She was violently ripped from me at the age of 9. I remember that day vividly. He came in with this burning fury in his eyes, screaming as he approached her "YOU WHORE" She turned to run, he grabed her hair dragging her to his den, all the while she kept repeating "Alec, he's my brother, He's my brother" He pulled his 45 from the top right drawer of his desk. He brought her to her knees, and held the gun over her heart. She had such a look of destain in her eyes as tears streamed down her face. She did not beg for her life as you would expect, the only thing she said was "Justify it how you must" He pulled the trigger silence swept the house as she fell to the floor, blood streaming from her warm body. The police didn't come, no one came for what seemed like an eternity. When someone did finally arrive they were not police, not one distinguishable from the next. All Black suits, sun glasses even in the dark, cold heartless expressions. No emotion even as they lifted her into the body bag. My father showed no sign of remorse, not so much a single tear shed for his crime. There wasn't even anger left in his eyes, he seemed hallow.I knew that she would not be found by those who would come looking, no one would even remember her in a months time, no one would dare speak of it even if remembered. Not even when her brother came asking for her. She was nothing more then a file somewhere now. It wasn't long before he shipped my 3 year old sister off to somewhere unknown. Months later when I asked him why she was sent away and to where he said coldly"I have my reasons" Shortly after that I was to banished, but I was not condemend as I imagine my sister was. My aunt was a kind woman, unlike my father, she took me in. I lived on the ranch with her for six years, not once did my father contact me. Then suddenly on my fifteenth birthday he showed up and drove me away before I could protest. I despretly hoped he would take me to my sister. It was a long journey, one with very few words, he had not much to say to me nor did I wish to talk to him. He dropped me off at a training facility where I would remain until my ninteenth birthday. Again he did not contact me in those four gruling years. On my 19th birthday he appeared again, with a packege. I slightly hoped it would be some sort of letter apologizing, telling me my sister was ok and where to find her. No such hope should have burned in my heart. The packege consisted of money, a one way plane ticket,plus a paper stating where and who I was sapposed to report to when I arrived. I have been here almost two years now. I have not seen him since that day, though I know he still lurks in the shadows of my deepest hate. I continue to search for my sister, that glimer of hope for the best and the burning notion telling me to expect the worst. Someday my father and I will meet again, things will be diffrent for I know I will rip out his heart.. He will be punished for what he has done. I am the reaper and hell is waiting! | |||||||||
